I am stumped bil has a 630 and you can be driving it in 4th or reverse and it will come out of gear but the shift lever never moves. I have had it apart and things look ok. Has new bearings, good countershaft and everything was set up to specs when we put it back together. I think it has to be in the (hi lo ) section where it is happening. any ideas would be appreciated. I did this when he bought it thats why we took it apart. |

Do you feel the "Detents" positioning, when it goes in gear..??
They are spring-Loaded and should keep the gears in position..
The springs could break, or the Detents themselves may be worn and not indexing correctly..

Did you check the shifter to see if it is bent and not pushing the rails all the way in gear . |
