Got my 2 bottom plow finally working good and then all of a sudden I went to trip it and it just wont stay tripped it just keeps coming back up. Is there something to look for in the gear box? It is a little genius plow any help is greatly appreciated, Mark. |

It sounds like the lever that you pull to trip it is not going into the second notch to keep it down. Check that before you tear it apart. Have a bystander watch it as you trip it and see if the roller is going into the notch when it makes the half revolution. |

if u hold the rope to long your gear catch will just roll on around u have to trip it quick and release the rope watch ur lever catch and see what its doin it doesnt take much |

All the things others mentioned are good to check. Also, just take off that wheel (it's held on with 3 small bolts), slide all the parts off the axle (there is a small pin to remove), put the parts on your work bench and start cleaning out all the old grease. That old grease will be very dry and hard. Then oil the small spring and get it working freely. Put it back together and you are good to go. Whole thing will take an hour or less.
