What is the easiest way to get the bronze bushing out that the worm shaft runs in? Push it out front to back or go all the thru and push it out the front? Local bearing guy had all the seals and bearings in stock and the price was pretty resonable I thought. I will just remake the 2 round gaskets out of gasket material.

IIRC it can go either way. A good driver is easiest, or cut it with a jab saw to allow it to collapse some. Do not scar the casting. Jim
