Well just a update.
I found the wire from the ignition to the coil to be
bad. replaced it. I replaced the coil with a new 12
volt coil, checked the resistance across the coil 3.6
Starts and stays running. Except now I found the
water pump to be bad. ugh!! never ends.
Thanks guys you have been a real help. |

I replaced my water pump recently. Already had the hood and nose tin off, so I pulled the radiator. It was an easy job. I've read that the pump can be replaced without taking the nose off, but it seems like it would be a much harder job.
If you do take the nose off and pull the radiator to do it, you might consider dropping a new fuel pump in while you're there. Short money, easy to do while you're in there.
Hope this helps -
