I know that the Impco regulator/vaporizor isn't factory for my 450 LP, but it's all I've got. Can anybody clue me in about servicing it without taking it apart? (and thus ruining the diaphrams). It apparently has an intermittent restriction on the fuel inlet side, because it will run really badly, then return to normal, then badly. I bled in propane through the intake, and it immediately goes away. I've checked all intake gaskets. Money is tight and I don't want to do a rebuild, I rebuilt it less than a year ago. Specifically, can the neopreen diaphrams withstand aerosol carburetor cleaner? Thanks. |

check for a water restriction. the vaporizer should be as warm as the radiator. it could be it is not vaporizing the liquid and the primary seat is closing. there is not anything inside that could cause blockage. you should be able to take it apart without hurting the diaphrams. leave the water jacket halves together. |
