|
|
I have a friend who is selling out his dairy next month. He has a 2555 he wants to sell, and I might be interested...
Problems:
1. rough shape overall
2. 4wd doesn"t work. Says bearings are out in the wheels.
Is this worth consideration? What"s a realistic value, given the fact the 4wd needs repair and various other minor issues? |

I think it would depend on the PRICE JD 55 series were some of the best(most sought after)models of JD tractors. MFWD axles can be expensive to repair. |

It looks like with loaders ones in nice shape have an asking price from 15/20K.I would get an estimate from JD and go from there.I have known several people that bought a reasonable{cheap] tractor and spent way more than they had hoped. It is usually best not to buy problems as they are free until you fix them. |
