I know everybody is probably getting tired of me asking. How can I tell the differance between a super 66 engine and a regular 66 engine?

Get a copy of each workshop manual/parts books.

You should be able to sort them out from the differnet part numbers?

when you really think about it the exterior really have no difference between them, the only difference is the super 66 has higher compression, and a little more cubic inch. if you have a 66 and want a super 66 just buy bigger sleeves and pistons.

Super engines had spot near distributor for hourmeter or tach drive if I am not mistaken. Where as rowcrops did not.

If it has a fleetline serial number, it really doesn't matter what engine it has in it, it's still a fleetline.

The casting numbers are different. I thought I mentioned that on one other post. The tach drive as was mentioned by Ken came out in 1952.

I know from the serial number and the front tub frame that this is a put together tractor. Was just trying to figure out what was changed on the tractor. Trying to help out a friend to sell this tractor, Her husband has alzheimers disease and she doesn't know much about the tractor.
