If it helps any, front end from a 35 or a 50 will be identical to what you have.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE PICTURES POSTED ON YT OF THE COCKSHUTT 40. NONE OF THE FRONT AXLES LOOK LIKE THE ONE I HAVE. MINE HAS A TUBING FRONT AXLE AND IS ADJUSTABLE. IT HAS BEEN REALLY PATCHED OR MODIFIED AT THE TRACTOR MOUNTING AREA. DID THEY EVER PRODUCE ON LIKE THIS OR DO YOU THINK THIS ONE WAS MODIFIED TO FIT?
THANKS

I assume adjustable wide front and not a standard?

Here is what at factory Adjustable front end looks like. They had 3 variations of the years, but they all look pretty much the same.

MATT, THANKS FOR THE PICTURES. THOSE DO MATCH THE ONE ON MY TRACTOR. MY SPINDLES AND OUTSIDE ADJUSTABLE TUBES ARE OK ON MY TRACTOR BUT THE PART THAT MOUNTS TO THE TRACTOR AND THE TUBES SLIDE INTO IS JUNK. DOES ANYONE HAVE THAT PIECE?
THANKS FOR THE HELP. JOE

Joe you have the wide adjustable front axle. I have a 570 with the same type axle.I have a friend that used to sell a lot of used Cockshutts. He always had a narrow and a wide front on hand for every tractor. When a customer came in, he always had which ever front they wanted. He said they were easy to change out. Kept him from loosing quiet a few sales.
