Can I put a 12.4 x 24 tire on a standard Allis Chalmers B rim? I believe I have 9x24 now and have found a good deal on 12.4 x 24 but it wont be a good deal if they wont fit. Thanks for the help

Yes you can. If I remember right if you have a 9X24 that would equal a new number of 9.5X24 so the 12.4 is really 2 sizes bigger but that is what I have on my C. A 11.2X24 would be real good but the 12.4 will work

They will work. Pulling the sides in a little will just make a taller tire. It will not cause a problem. Almost like having a set of duels on in soft ground. Probly want to stay around 8 pounds of pressure in the tire to let it squash some. I have 11's on two B's and the 12's on a C.

Really it will work? I figured that would be to big of a tire for that rim size. I won't have any rubbing issues with that wide of a tire? I have a chance to buy a pair of regular AG tires or turf tires for that size.

Here is what they will look like.

Kinda jacks up the rear. 9's were what was on the rims before I put these on.
Not sure about turf tires. They come a little fatter to start with.

There were three different standard rims on the B tractor. I put 11.2x24 AKURET tires on 10" rims on one of my tractors. That is a proper tire/rim size combination. These tires are disappointingly small. I'm sure 12.4 tires would be fine. If you have 8" rims, it could quite a squeeze getting 12.4 tires on them.

No, a 12.4 tire is intended for a 11 inch rim. Old size marking of a 12.4 would be 11x24.

I have two Bs, that have 12.4 tires, two that have 11.2 tires and two with 9.5 tires.. Bigger tires fit fine, just set a little taller and make the tractor look a little "Bigger".

Dick L Thanks for the photos and steve thank you for the confirmation that the 12.4 will work without changing rim size. I like the "bigger" beefier look anyways. The guy wants 150.00 for a pair of New 12.4 x 24 tires I just can not pass those up.
