Got my model 1400 Schwartz loader home (assuming it is the same as a 1610) Are seals available for these yet? Anyone know what is all needed to do them? |

Yes they are. My brother went to the local AGCO dealer and he ordered them. Not cheap. About $100 per cylinder. Maybe there's other places to get them also?
I helped him put the seals in. Not a fun job. Now I understand why there are businesses that just deal with rebuilding hydraulics. They probably have better specialized tools for that kind of job, than what we used. |

What you need to know for the lift cylinders is the diameter. Smaller cylinders were used on tractors that had higher pressure systems. Also as was mentioned there are companies that cator just to seals for cylinders. |

Are they special seals or regular "O" rings with back up washers? |

I replaced the seals in one of the long cylindars from my 1610 loader about a year ago. Got all the parts from my local Agco dealer. I believe it came to about $50 per cylindar. The hardest part was the nut inside that holds everything together. It was staked and with out the proper spanner wrench it turned very hard. I think I still have the diagram and numbers. |
