I have been told that it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 11 and 3/4 MPH. 4th gear, wide open throttle.
Having been tailed by a vehicle while driving mine in road gear, the consensus is that between 11 and 12 MPH seems correct.

Having owned a WD for many years, I feel safe in stating that 9mph is about tops. The WD45 did go faster, however. |

We used to farm some land on the next section over and it would take right at 5 Minutes to go a mile which is 12 MPH. Thats wide open in 4th gear on slightly hilly ground so maybe that helped a little.
