Unable to grease wide front end fittings on 55 -57 300 farmall new grease fittings won,t accept grease. have tried 2 grease guns and several fittings

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I have found that also, I have a 16 Disc harrow that has the "China Junk" Fittings in it, They WONT take grease either, Buy USA Made Fittings, problem solved.. Larry KF4LKU

First be sure the grease fitting themselves are good, and many nowdays are not. If they are good then penetrating oil can often help. If you can get a pipe fitting in the grease fitting hole in such a manner that you can fill it with penetrating oil, and then install the grease fitting, that's the best thing to do. Once you have the fitting in, everything full of penetrating oil, and the grease fitting in place also, put your grease gun on it and give it a pump or so to make it build pressure. If your lucky, and it tends to work for me about 75% of the time (especially if you give the penetrating oil time to soak in good, and free up the blockage) you'll get a good bit of pressure built and then you'll feel a pop as the joint starts taking grease. That's about the easiest way I've found to get an joint that isn't taking grease to start taking it again. Usually the next alternative is to disassemble the joint and go from there.

Problem is old crusty grease in the joint. Take a small drill bit, spin it in the hole by hand, working thu the old grease. shoot some good penetrant in....that is not WD40 squaw urine..........use PB Blaster, etc. Stick the zerk on the gun, shoot some grease so you know the zerk is good, then install and pump grease.

All good hints below. Have a couple more.
Jack it up so the wheel hangs free. This changes the load pressure to a different point. Gaining .001 clearance might be just enough to get grease started. Helps a lot on ball joints/kingpins on cars/trucks.
If not real concerned about hurting the paint, GENTLE application around the zerk with the blue flame tool often softens the old grease.
Different things work at different times. One or more of the methods others have listed should work.

Heat. I had to heat some loader pins a week ago to get the old crud loosened up so they'd take. I would seriously warn against heating a zerk though. Take it out before you apply the heat. There's a little BB in the end of them and if you build pressure in them heating them,that little thing will shoot out of there like a tiny bullet.

THANKS for the responces. I was able to free up four fittings on the assembly,using penitrating oil and the pipe filled with penitrating oil and shooting it with grease gun.
