i need to install the friction disk on my Masseys throttle. When i want to throttle up to say 1500rpm it just wont stay there. does the throttle rod have to be completely removed for this or are the friction disks slotted? thanks

Hello Mike the disk is not slotted but what i did was cut 1/2 the disk so it can slide around throttle rod then tighten up the spring behind it but you do have to loosen the spring to slide it in. |

yea i fugured i would give that a try, i went with 1/8 rubberized cork material which to my suprise Napa charge me 15 bucks for! and i will cut one myself and have enough cork to make more.. |
