Pulled the pto off this morn for a repair and seen this, ouch, believe me the pic does not do it justice. The diff is shelled, I don't know how he finished field work. Now he thinking about just junking the tractor, but I think we can save it with some reasonable priced good used parts. Rod.

Rod,
At least the PTO brake didn't fall off and break the, tranny housing, although that might have been a cheaper fix than what you are facing I have welded up several 9s and 10s, in years past.

Thats not also the one with the bad crank is it? I've only seen that in one 1070 and it only had 2800 hours on it and was a planter tractor most of its life. Been into a couple of 2290s and 2294s for that though. Never fun.

Rod,
It's easy for me to say, but I am confident you will have a beautiful 1070 there when you're done. Your understanding of them combined with your attention to detail will....

Rod, I haven't seen or heard of this happening in a 1070. I have a late 1070 I parted out if you need some pieces.
