Was catching up on some of the posts and saw JW and 1370rod were talking about long wheelbase 1370 and 1570's. Here is my 1570 with a kit from Simonsen iron works I found at Rodkey Bros. in Rossville, IN on a dead tractor. Think I gave a hundred bucks for it, had been looking for one forever and finally ran across one. Anyway, here are a couple pics...

Are the 4 bolts threaded into the original position the only ones holding, or are the front bolts all the way thru the front bolster? Looks like the easiest one yet to make. Tractors look kinda kool with the wheels way out there! |

I did a story on Simonson Iron works for Heritage Iron magazine a couple years ago. The front axle extension kit was not only made for CASE tractors....
I'm looking for the IH 86 series front axle kit with the extended frame rails... |

Looks real good, does it take a lot more real estate to turn or doesn't it make much difference? |
