Finished up the pond today, my neighbor, Larry told me several times this summer that he wanted to help when I dug the pond. He brought his 656 IH over today and helped me finish up. All told I think I put in 10 hours with the 1845, Larry helped me about 3 hours today. I uploaded a bunch of pictures to photobucket, here's a link.

Looks good. Do you think it'll have any trouble holding water? I've dug a few (real) small ones around here, and the ground is usually so porous that I've had to haul clay in to seal them up. |

It held for at least the last 70 years, we dug it down to rock. Time (and hopefully some rain) will tell. It's only dry because of drought. |

Great pictures! Looks like the exact same weather we had. IH loader is same as Case 70 loader with a few slight differences. Would love to have a 1845. Got a 1530 Case that I put a bigger engine in and it does a fine job also. |

Those IH 656's were bullit tough was it a hydro IH should still be making those trans just so handy for doing chores unlike the newer transmissons, you did a great job on the dirt work. |
