Hi guys,
I am in the process of fixing up my 1948 old style 88 standard. I have noticed there is an option of yellow or red decals. What is the correct color of decals? Also what is the correct color of the stripe that runs from the front grill down along the side curtain. Mine appears to be yellow, but there isn't much paint at all to go off of.

first you need the darker fleetline green for your tractor. now when it comes to decals you need the red set that only say standard 88, in 1951 they switched to the yellow decals that say Oliver standard 88. with the stripes it is suppose to be yellow along the curtains. if you want to be really accurate the center stripe on the hood from the radiator cap to the fuel cap is also yellow, but many just leave it since it is that little bit of extra work, but we have done it on a couple tractors and it really makes it stand out.

His is an old style, not a fleetline. The streamline has a special decal set, order that one from Dumont Decals. I traded my old style 88 a while back but I'm 99% sure the frame stripe is red.

thanks for correcting me i forgot that they still used the stream line paint scheme on that 88. the red decals are right but your bottom frame color should be red and the center stripe from the radiator to the fuel cap is suppose to be green with red in the thin lines. sorry for getting it wrong before.

Thanks guys, It does appear that there is red along the bottom from the grill back. My ridge on my hood doesn't have any fine lines like the cover for the radiator. Should I paint these red lines in, paint the whole ridge red or just leave it green. I don't think this is the original hood. Thanks so much for the help.
