I have a 35 deluxe gas (1963), manual steering. In order to put a heavy duty loader on it I believe I need a stronger front end/axle. Can I install one from a mf35 industrial/utility with power steering. Where does the power steering pump attach to on the Z134 gas engine to get it's "driving power"? Next year I'll have to do some work on the front end because of sloppiness/wear, new rubber on the "joints" etc. Thanks for any advice!

I asked a similar question a couple of months ago and was told that
I would probably not need to replace the front axle. I have been
using a Davis/MF model 101 102 loader on my 35 for 4 years
without any problems yet other than the steering is very stiff with a
load on the forks or bucket. I have the normal row crop front end.

The pump attaches to the left front just in front of the distributor. There's a plate with 3 bolts that goes away but then the steering sector has to be a power steering model.

Huummm. yep. Unless you are going to be charging into mountains of gravel and wet muck 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, your axle most likely will be fine.
With the average use and speeds we put our old fergies thru, power steering would be a subject worth studying.
You have access to a 35 parts tractor with power steering? You might want to make a frankentractor out of the 2, the steering system and your rotator cups will be better off.
