B A Star thanks for pointing out this auction. I had a great time attending and bidding at this auction with my dad and what an awesome literature collection this man had amassed. We are from the east and this is the first time that I was at an auction and there was a million dollar bid. The price for the property from where I am from was crazy. I don't know how you can make that much money on the land.

Yehbut... did the young guy have long hair and a beard?....was he amish? There are amish in the vicinity. They buy land like that, then divide it a dozen ways from Sunday among their kin.

Land here in central IL has gone crazy too. Recent sales near me have been $13,100 $13,200 $14,200 and $15000 per acre. All of these in the last month.

Did you see what the U302 MM brought? How did it look? And run?
I saw the sale bill, but did not get to go, even though it was prob about 75 miles from me. Thanks
