What is the best overhaul kit that can be purchased for a 248 cube 1600 gas engine in terms of horsepower, performance, and quality of parts.

I bought my pistons, sleeves, and most other parts from the AGCO dealer. Some parts were AGCO, some Tisco, and possibly some other brands. I went with an overbore kit - 3 3/4" to give it a little more snort.

I forget now what I stuck into the engine, that was almost 10 years ago. Runs great now.

I don't konw if they still have them or not,but a few years ago,I bought a set of NOS pistons and sleeves from AJ Boellner in Maumee Ohio. At that time, they still had one set left, wanted $100 a hole for them. Worth a phone call.
