D-17 Series 1 has hyd pressure that slooowly builds to 1600 psi. How hard to remove, replace.(I have shop manual) Are pumps from later series compatible? I did remove the housing cover and the lube tube(?) fell out.
In looking at a replacement pump, it's not clear to me where the high pressure outlet is Any help? |

It has been a VERY long time since I've had one out. I don't recall any particular challenge, other than laying underneath it!
As far as I know the pumps were the same except for the series IV, which has the gear pump on the belt pulley drive. |
