How many degrees before top dead center is the fuel pump of a 2-105 timed at. thanks |

30 BTDC but,2-105 after ser. no. 269 776 with automatic speed advance pump 28 BTDC taken from form no.432 667B issued 1977 |

Do you understand the theory of operation of the injection pump? Timing should be correct when the line on the pump flange and the line on the engine adapter plate are lined up. This pump is variable beginning of injection and constat ending. At WOT at specified delivery Start of delivery is 30 degrees on the early engine and 28 degrees on the late. These numbers will only occur at WOT and decress as fuel delivery and metering valve move towards less fuel position. |
