Hello looking for info on a sickle mower that I got with a 1940 H. Was told it was used with the tractor before the farmhand loader was installed. Looks like it would mount to the axle clamps. Has a 7 foot bar. Has a gearbox to drive the pitman, not a belt. No tailwheel. Any thoughts as to what model it might be, I would like to get a manual for it, thanks, Mike |

I believe its a #16 mower,or could be a #21 or #24.Pictures may help,both were used as direct mount units for the C,H,and M series. |

After looking at the mower again today I am thinking that you were correct in it being a F-12 mower. I actually unloaded it in front of the F14 and the mounting brackets on the f-14 drawbar and the mower are nearly identical. I don't know how to get pics on here so I will try to find a picture of a f-12 mower on this site. Some picture that I was able to find appear to show a belt drive on the 16 and newer models. Thanks, Mike |
