I have a TO-30 with a hood that rattles in use. I have tried the rubber snubbers from someone on this site, but they fall out and are lost. What else can I use on the dashboard strip to quiet this down? Thanks, Jim. |

might try inner tube strips and glue them where the hood rests. |

Jim, on my TO-20, a Previous Owner glued on a piece of what looks like black foam weatherstripping.
It's the full width of that channel on the dash where the rubber bumpers should be, and thick enough that the hood snugs down nicely, and doesn't rattle, when the latch is closed.
I don't know exactly what this product is, but you should be able to find something similar. |

I use some thing called "camper tape". Its foam with a sticky glue on the backside and is about 1/8"-3/16" thick uncompressed.
Make sure that your hood"s doglegs haven"t pulled away from the hood, allowing the the hood to not be able to seat properly. |

you could use the rubber strip that is used on the TE20 tractors, this fits around the edge of the Dash Panel and is attached with some bifurcated rivets, it is probably available from this site. Don't just look for parts on your model, look at all then TE series tractors, they are all the same at this point..John(UK)...fergusontractors@hotmail.com |
