Heard of a guy that pulled an old tractor out of a shed,it's pretty beat,looked at it the tag says 440-H and the serial started with 614xxxx,can anyone explain that serial number? Everything I checked said it should start with an 80

Musta been a very late 1959 model, or very early 1960 model.

1960 and 1961 430/530/630 tractors were Rock Island production after that production was moved to Racine, the serial starting with 6 are all Rock Island cnt

440 meant that it was a 430 Series w/ a gas engine. "H" meant that it has a high speed 4th.
