Looking for a speed control cable for a gas 1963 John Deere 1010 tractor. I have looked everywhere & can't find one. Can anyone help?

JD dealer can get you one although it's pricey.

Replaced one a while back on my JD 140. Used a generic lawnmower throttle cable, Arnold brand if I remember right. Took a little of re-engineering to replace old one, but it works. Used existing brackets, handle, put new cable on them.
