Just got a new toy. CAT426, sort of a handyman’s special very low hours. The extenda hoe and bucket cyl's are trash and have contaminated the system with metal. So I want to change the fluid and get some new cyl's. The Book calls for CAT HYDO hydraulic oil in the hyd sys and transmission, is there a good alternative? I have DTE24 in bulk that I use in my other equipment. Any body know if that is good enough? all my other stuff is 1960's vintage and have plain old gear pumps. this is the 1st variable pump i have owned and i am scared of ruining it........

Use TDTO4 or equivilent in trans, axle too if the brakes have been updated. DEO is good in engine and hyd
