Looks like the loop at the front of the drawbar on the WD- before the snap coupler.

The braket is too narrow to fit over the rock shaft. The tractor has an Allis Chalmers 3pt hitch with a cast center bracket for the center link.

This is just a guess. Years ago, some of the old discs had just a round ring on the tongue that would hitch to the drawbar if it had a clevis type drawbar. If no clevis drawbar would this be used to go through the ring and pin to the drawbar. Hell I don't know, just a thought.LOL

Might not even go with the tractor. I've gotten parts with tractors that don't with them.

I'm with Bob. It looks like the front loop from the pre snap coupler drawbar.

It is possible it might went with the tractor he had before the 45 diesel. I wasn't very old in 74. I remember going with dad to look at the tractor before the auction. It was the guys only tractor. He quit farming and got a job as post master.

Could well have had a WD, updated it to a snap coupler, traded it for the WD45D, this part was hanging on a nail in the shed and got thrown into the WD45D toolbox.......... anything's possible.

It goes on the end of drawbar of a non-snap coupler tractor, or pin type hitch as they were called.
