Posted about a week back about the 1965 Chevy grain truck with 15000 original miles in excellent shape. Sale was today and it brought $8200. Somebody wanted it bad.

There are some low mileage trucks out there. Had a chance a year ago to buy a 75 Dodge fire truck with a pump body on it but passed. Had a 361 engine and 4 and 2 trans. Had 15000 miles on it and the fire dept. wanted $3500 I think. Show room condition, wish I would have pulled the trigger!

Single axle. Started out with 4 or 5 bidders and dropped to two quickly.

that's nuts, might have only 15,000 but everything degradeable is still almost 50 years old, rubber brake parts, lines, seals ect.

It may not have been bought to use. There was a sale here about 10 years ago with a 1959 Dodge with a flatbed dump on it. Truck had low miles on it and had never been used out in the road salt so wasn't rusted, but did look shabby. Tires were dry-rotted, but it ran OK. Two collectors were the only bidders and they really fought over it. It brought over $5000.

I have a 1963 GMC fire truck I'm interested in selling. 8,000 original miles and stored inside. Taken out of service from fire department in 2008.
