can you help me ID this tractors year? the Id plate shows the size as a C and the serial # is C 306268 and the casting # on the side of the block is 4569-A and on the side of the trans case is 4800-A

If I'm not mistaken, subtract the 1st digit from the 4th and it'll give you the year model. In this case, you have to assume your 4th digit is 12, which would make it a 29 model. There's a serial number page/chart in the left column, as well.

Its actually take the first and fourth digits and subtract 3 which in this case gives you the same result--29.

That is an early one! They started making the C at #50 so that makes your C the 618th one made.
