rother is working on one--I told him about the "spin the drill backwards trick but that did not make it start genning.. Yrs ago I "bumped" one with a 12 volt battery but don"t remember Zactly how and I know it"s a little risky..Any other thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks

fire it up and plug in a drill, pull trigger on drill and spin the chuck backwards. Keep in mind that if it works, drill will start spinning...move your hand away quickly.

Tried earlier today and it did not work..was hoping it could be this simple but....not that lucky.

Cordless drills don't do it!!! ha ha! I know, not funny.

You need an old corded type with a brush type motor. Of course there could be other issues.

I don"t know the model--I think he said it is a coleman 10 hp but I DK the Model or any more info.

I don't believe it matters which you spin the drill, it just needs to be a universal one. But I've wondered if a variable speed one would work ?

check the capacitor. 9 out of 10 times that is the culprit.
