I just bought a white 270 it will not start without a snort of ether the man said it had a new injector pump 4 months ago and has not started cold since with out ether. I'm thinking it may be a timing issue. has anyone ever dealt with this? |

if you are referring to a 2-70 this is a common problem with this engine. It is the same tractor as a 1655 look in the archives this has been covered extensively.Improper valve protrusion really affects the starting.A good aftermarket gear reduction starter and good batteries and cables can make a big difference too.The stock starters turn a little slow when cold for a worn engine to start well. |
