Does it make any sense to have an almost entire brass valve, except for the screw made of carbon steel holding on the seat washer? You can guess what happens in a year. Where do you buy your replacement valves? |

Doesn't make sense to you, but it does to the chinese guy who made it. It is called job security, he can sell you another one in a year. |

Been two years and things change fast but when I plumbed up our outdoor wood burner I used the better quality WOG gate valves sold at Lowes and they have brass stems and gates. I have never been a fan of the types with a flat seat and rubber washer, USA or China made. |
