We are getting ready to put fresh oil in both s99 and 990 trans and diffs. The books say 10-30 engine oil with high presure additive. What is todays oil choice to use for these tractors as the additive is obsolite or unheard of? Any help is greatly appreciated. Duane |

my guess it sounds like it could be comparable to hydraulic oil like all the newer tractors use in trans/rearends. Most hyd oil is in that viscosity range and is be able to withstand pressure. |

If you use to light of an oil you will have trouble with the pinion seals leaking especially on the 99. 80w90 is fine, but you may want to consider something heavier like 90w140
