I just got a JD2640 last week. While plowing snow yesterday, it started to lose power and rpms, surge and almost die before I couild get it back to the shed. My thought its a fuel problem. Where should I start? |

Change the fuel filters. How cold was it? If there is still summer grade fuel in it you may have been gelling up. Add some winter fuel treatment to the fuel. |

I'd suggest to check fuel return line and fitting for blockage. Then check for good fuel flow from tank and change fuel filter. If that doesn't correct it then I'd look at lift pump. |

Thanks for your ideas guys. I'll check it out. I don't think it was a gel issue. It was pretty warm 32F at the time. Now its cold and I'm going to wait to deal with it.
Have a great holidy ET and Tx Jim |
