|

I have a 435 that i"m planning to tear into for a winter project. im planning to take final drives apart and replace the axle seals which leak pretty badly. i figured while its that far apart i"d like to upgrade my 435"s ring and pinion to the stronger/slower one from the 1010, pre serial # 31000 i think. i am wondering if anyone has a part number for the parts? i can"t seem to find them online. I found some r&p for the 1010, but they didn"t seem to specify the serial # range. any help would be greatly appreciated! |

It's all on the JD web site.
There is the high speed 7/32 set AT16608 or the slow speed 6/32 set AT16609.
The bull gear final drives on 1010's after 31,001 are 15% slower than the earlier units.
Wish my 435 had the slow 6/32 R&P with the slower final drives.
2nd gear is way too fast for pulling and 1st is too slow. |

Thanks for the info. I found the link on deeres site for the 1010 parts manual, but my browser won't open it for some reason. I'm also liking the idea of changing the final drive gears while i'm in there too. just gotta decide how much i want to do |
