First of all my engine is an AD3-152 I pulled all injectors and brought the engine up on compression stroke top TDC. Most of the air came thru the exhaust, i know that to be a valve, but some came up thru a different injector hole would this indicate valve seals or somthing else?

sounds like a head gasket too. or maybe just a head gasket if your lucky. you could be pushing air out to another cyl that has an open exh valve at the time thru a shot head gasket. i would just pull the head at start examining.

I pulled the head this morning head gasket was bad inbetween the cylinders where the head bolt goes and heavy exhaust build up on the head bolts. Should I have the head resurfaced when replacing the head gasket?

Check the head for flatness and then resurface it only if necessary. I would recommend new head bolts tightened to the proper torque, also coat only the bodies of the new bolts with never seize so the head will come off easier if you ever need to remove in the future.

How can I check the head for flatness? The Gasket that was on this engine was a copper one, would that be an orignal gasket? If not I am thinking someone may have replaced the gasket but not the bolts and did not get the correct torqe on them.

You never know what has been done when you buy a used tractor. But few people replace the bolts (including me). That being said and without any history on the tractor, and a bad gasket, I would replace the bolts. A good precision strait edge can be used or take it to a shop that has the the means of checking it. I like to clean both surfaces real good and lightly sand both surfaces with emery to give the gasket a good surface to bite into. You might want to re torque the head after a few hours.
This is just my way of doing it. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

check and see if a liner has dropped down(the usual culprit for a blown gasket),if liners are okay have a good look at the threads in the block DO NOT overtorque the head bolts when you re-assemble , all you will acomplish is pulling the threads out of the block
