I see that there are different versions of the "M" gear shift. One is bent the other straight. Are these different designs model specific? |

The gear shifts were different, depending on what seat was used on the M. The coil sping and shock absorber seat used the bent shifter. I have seen all kinds of combinations, because seats were changed. |

Think the double bent shifters started showing up sometime in 1947 and was used up to the end of stage one SM tractors. Any replacement shifter could be different depending on when purchased or what it was used for. |
