|
|
I bought a John Deere Van Brunt fertilizer
spreader and not sure of the model. I'm thinking
it may be an early version of the John Deere LF-8.
It looks very similar to the LF-8 except that it
doesn't have the control lever on the hitch but
rather an engagement lever on the front of each
box. Where the LF-8 has a safety light bracket on
the side of the box there is a rate control lever
on each side on mine. There is also a box of tubes
that came with it which don't appear to ever have
been used. I have no idea what their function is.
The guy I bought it from never used it and doesn't
have a manual. Any help would be appreciated. |

Don't know, but I have the same one.
Dad used the drop tubes on windy days, but not much difference.

Does yours have the grass seed attachment? That is the only place on them for a drop tube. |

Dads has little short solid metal tubes that go under the fert holes. Thought that is what he was referring to.
