Hey Guys,
Im a John Deere guy, but I located a Ford County 6 4x4 (I think). I was just curious to know any info and production numbers on these tractors. And are they a collectible Ford item? Learning the ins and outs on Ford recently.
Thanks
Jeff |

Not sure of production numbers or how many were imported to North America. They were popular here at the time but were soon replaced as larger 2 wheel drive tractors came on the scene. I know where there are a few parked or occasional use. Basically they were English Fords modified by County tractor company and sold by Ford dealers. Being based on the Ford 5000 made them a tough tractor and for the time a long life machine. One problem with the first ones without a cab was that the operator ate dirt all day long |

They were built by the County Car C0. overseas.(England ??) They used the Ford Chassis.
This is a Fordson Major with the County 4x4 conversion.

It's as collectable as you want it to be...
There's not a lot of them around, but they are around... in sufficient numbers to not exactly be considered 'rare'.
