Our neighbor has a Ferguson that last week the lift arms quit going up. We have never worked on a Ferguson and don"t even know which model it is. It has a four speed with the S for start. We drained the transmission and found ice so we filtered the oil and put it back in. If we drop the bottom cover is the pump attached to it? What are the gotchas for taking the rock shaft off? What model is it? The serial number is TO-55015. Any help is very appreciated. |

If you found ice...there is a good chance the pump is cracked. Water freezing in the hydraulic oil has ruined many a pump. |

According to the serial number that is a 1951 Ferguson TO 20. DO not drop the pump until you know what is wrong as you can not diagnose it on the work bench it is not a starter or generator. |
