Got the axle sitting on bench with backing plate and all. How much slop would you allow just pushing backing plate side to side between coller and bearing retainer. I got 1/16 space to when pushing backing plate down on one side short 1/16th. Thanks, Dave |

That's not a measurement that's important or even looked at. What IS important is the axle shaft preload as measured when the axle assembly is installed in the tractor. |
