Here are some pics from Christmas day. First day in the field for the new (to us) 4-270, we're probably going to need a bigger plow for it. The 4-225 and the 1950T ran all day without so much as a hiccup. 2-180 only got 1 lap in before we blew a power steering line, so it got to watch from the yard and gave its driver time to shoot these pics.

That 4-270 is a beast, how do you like it so far. That's one of the tractors I will own before I die. And it can still be used on big farms, 350hp would be easy to do to that tractor |

You would have had to plow snow under here, it got to 7 degrees on Xmas day.
You should be looking for either a 2549 or 2588 flex back plow. They are a pull type with a three point hitch on the back and a normal three point hitch plow attached. Of course the hitch and carrier wheel assembly are heavier.
I know of a guy in Iowa that has one behind his 4-270. Send me a email. |

Dad is the only one who's driven it so far, but I think he likes it. Different clutch operation will take some getting used to. The 6 bottom plow was little more than a nuisance behind it, so it was a little hard to tell how well it works yet. Hopefully we can get the cab kit in it and get it painted this winter and it should be a good tractor for a long time. |

Thanks for posting like seeing them at work, should be a good tractor, the only problems I have heard are the transmissions and hear the parts are hard to find. But it's worth having it there getting hard to find. Nice picture though thanks for sharing again. |

I saw one of those plows on Craigslist in Washington I believe. They did not want to much for it. |

That's an impressive lineup. Can't say I've ever seen that group at a plow day! Awesome 270. |

It's an Oliver Narrow Cab (I think is what its called). It is little more than a wind break, and definitely NOT a ROPS cab, but I like the way it looks. I've bought a red dot heater/ac unit that will fit inside the roof of the cab and will hopefully add some climate control soon. Have some sheet metal trim work to do around the levers and on the floor because it was missing the trim pieces, so its a little breezy at the moment. |
