Hey all,
Watching an online auction in Barren, WI that will be ending today starting at 7 pm. I'm kinda surprised to see 3404 weights are bringing 230 a pair already. I bought some at the Coates Auction in Dubuque a couple years ago and paid 220 a set, but they came with bolts. 5 hours to go, wonder where they'll end up...
What I'm watching is a 5-16 Kverneland plow badged as a Miller. |

I am watching the same auction a bit, just for fun. And seen those weights to, that is pretty high!
My only thing I question on them is they must be recently ones made by JD. As where the bolts go that circle is more rounded, where the older wheel weights I have that circle is defined and sharp lipped. The ones in the auction pictures show a nice rounded edge there. Minor I know but I prefer the sharp edge.
There was another online auction I missed with a pair of wheel weights with the oval centers for 2 cylinders and they only brought $180. I was shocked and wish I would have gotten home to bid. Was the first online auction I watched though so was hesitant to bid. |

Where you located? I have three sets on my 4430 and am looking for some 500 or 1000 pounders to put inside the wheel. If I do, I'll have the three sets to sell. If i find another set of 500 pounders, I'll have three more sets to sell off my 4010. |

BTW - There's also a 4020 console with 1100 hours on overhaul and 5329 hours and 4320 console with 9647 hours and 200 hours on engine and clutch on the sale. They're at 9820 for the 4320 and 9200 for the 4020. 50 minutes to go... |

WOW! 3 sets brought 290, 290, and 296. Plus there was a 10% buyer's premium on them. That means they brought around $320 a pair. Double stack slab weights brought 606 (666 with premium) it was a double stack, frame rails, 4 slabs, and hardware. 6 suitcase weights brought 725.
I didn't win the plow and the site blocks viewing the final price, so I don't even know what it brought. I looked at some of their older auctions and the prices are on the items, so maybe they'll post final prices after the sale is all over. I only caught the wheel weights because I was on the site when they closed. |

Wow is right! I was watching the 4020 and 4320, as was curious to what they would go for. And if I had the cash that 4320 sure was nice, 4020 was too, but dad has one so would like to just buy his someday. I seen the price is not shown I was hoping if I logged in it would show the price maybe? Or that you knew.
I am in Mabel, MN - about an hour away from Lacrosse, WI. |

Gave up on Deere weights (or F&H) along time ago...around our area, ya trip over IH weights, but ya gotta be ready to pay all yer cash AND yer left Test tickle for Deere weights. We have enough for cosmetics when we show or parade, but we made adapters for IH weights when we use or pull. U'd be surprised how good some red weights look on the Deeres when ya start figuring how much you woulda spent on the alternative. PLUS...when pullin' ya have the advantage of using half weights with the IH weights. PLUS PLUS they slide right off the Deere and on to your IH when you are pulling! PLUS PLUS PLUS they weigh the same per lb! lol |

I have sold manyJD rear weights and have never got over $100 so obviously I must have got them a little cheaper but lately I have seen sets of nice weights w/bolts bring $150 each. The other day I hauled two stalk cutters to salvage yard and there in a pile was 10 JD rear weights laying near the magnet.Asked about them and owner said farmer was tired of moving them so got $160 a ton.I wasnt to proud to buy them for double the price of scrap and put them on a pallet to load. There were some two cylinder front weights also and they bring around $800 a set or more. |

The prices are now posted. They must not post the prices until the auction is over.
People must not have been in a buying mood on a 4020 and 4320 - $10650 and $9950 respectively. Seems rather cheap for nice looking well maintained side console New Gens.
The plow I wanted brought 1160. Oh well, still looking
Badger, shoot me an email if you want to buy my wheel weights. I'm going out to Kingsley IA and then up to Pipestone MN on the 6th. Looks like I'd be going real close to Mabel on my way back. |

That is cheap! I will have to go look. I wonder about these online auctions. I never pay much attention but have seen two now and payed attention to them. But it always states, same with this one too, that you must come get your items the next day. Well the tractors sold at 7 pm then the rest, so who the heck can get out of work and get up there the next day. Or do they give you some leeway? I wonder if that doesn't hurt prices right there. For the price of either of those tractors, if either were as stated, they would have been worth a trip up to check them over then bid at that price.
Will shoot you an email. Thanks. |

I called the auctioneer for that very reason. He was a pretty nice guy who said they put that in so people wouldn't leave crap for 3 months. He said as long as the person contacts him with their plans, he usually gives them up to a week. Had I won that plow, I was gonna go up tomorrow and get it. My mom lives half an hour north of there, so it would have been a good excuse to go see her.
Considering the prices on the weights and the price on the 9500 combine (36,250 plus 7% buyers fee), I don't think his auction suffered from lack of bidders. |

That's good to know, them giving you time. Otherwise I wouldn't know how you would go about it, unless like you called to ask.
Did you get my email? |
