|
|
I have heard of guys using a bobcat/melroe starter with a top mount bracket on the 2 lung JD's.
Wondering if anyone knows the specific model or part # of the starter that works in the factory top mount bracket?
Any other info/tips welcome
thanks

The last late b I built I had to put older flywheel on and re drill holes for older top starter bracket. Not a direct bolt on. If someone doesnt have the part number ill go look |

Freshen up the original starter, use the petcocks and a 12V battery and you'll be fine. No fancy starter required. If it started mine, it will start yours. |

This is a part number of the a Nippendenso starter 228000-8083. Not sure if this is for the A or B, or if they are the same, was a top mount. |
