I"m cleaning up my 45 for the AG Connect Show in KC that was only used one year then sat in the shed as wasn"t started sense 1962 and thought I would show how its cleaning up. Im using TKO cleaning solution and very fine steel wool. Im going to follow the cleaning with a good buff and wax. I was wondering what year it is (SN636242)

that serial does not work with my books are you sure you do not have to many #'s? |

Dont know if this will help you narrow it down...The 1965 45 squareback that I had was SN# 35509 |

Hey Tristan, Good to see you working on some green. Does your 45 have the Herc flathead engine? If so it is a 1957 or earlier, the 45 came out I believe in 1954; and used the Herc engine until JD started using it's own engines in combines, which was the 1958 model year.
Does it have an actual serial # plate, if not it may still be stamped on the frame.
