Impact driver update

Well, I eventually got a Craftsman impact wrench - has 1/2 inch head, 19.2 volts and is cordless also claims to have 200 ft lbs torque - got it home and it is a heavy and solid device - gave it a 30 min charge and headed up to work on the Sienna - wow! I was extremely suprised at how powerful it was and it made short work of the nuts including the 30mm wheel nut which is supposed to be torqued at over 200 ft lbs - the rest of the nuts gave up a good fight but after a few moments came loose.
I compared it with a dewalt at home depot which had the same 200ft lbs torque but that was $160 and did not come with a battery or a charger! This one comes complete with charger and battery.
Now I wish I had bought an impact driver years ago - sure makes working on those tough nuts a lot easier!

Maybe you can get an air compressor and some air tools next.
I also have a small portable tank that helps around my place.

I'm just planting the seed for you :)

BTW the plate you saw in the other post was from a totaled vehicle by the airport in Kuwait in 91.

All HD power tools are from the land of not even close. I bet Sears are too. Its a shame. Now even if ya put it on plastic card get ya a compressor it is like a battery charger you will wonder how ya did without it. Now if ya dont have a battery charger get one that is 6 and 12 volts, some are Made in the USA try and find one.

I got a Ryobi 18 volt cheapie last year and don't know how I got along without it. What a time saver!

Well Kuwait was surely ransacked to say the least.
So far no problems with me health wise.

Those burning oil fields were right on me, had oil soaked Gore-Tex, 782 (deuce) gear, boots, etc, lungs?

Sorry to hear about General Schwarzkopf's passing.

Like it better if made and assem. in USA. All assem in USA means is an illegal may have put it together. The parts are never seen by QC just get them out. Card carrying Flag Lover. Good Luck
