How did you step up your 6volt generator to 12volt

What tractor, year, is there a voltage regulator or cutout?

Eithere get a 12v gen or have yours converted to 12. You can get a rebuilt one as they will bolt on just like your present one does just get a 12v reg for the new one and change lite bulbs.

If you are not a purist, changing to alternator might be more desirable and cheaper.

A shop familar with generators can do it.
