Were the amp-oil & tach chrome or black when they came off the line?

Still looking for a color pic of a brand new 1951, not someone"s restoration.

Old 8 Guy........does it really matter??? You do know you can "paint" chrome bezels enny color that pleases you, including BLACK. .........respectfully, color-blind Dell
