|
|
Somewhere down the road I have misplaced or lost the original Ferguson wrench that came with my 1957 TO35. I believe it was marked MHF
I have the original owner’s manual, so I would also like to have an original wrench that came with the tractor.
I have seen a number of Ferguson wrenches for sale on the internet. But I do not know what my wrench looked like.
(Identifying markings) for a wrench that came with a 1957 model tractor.
Do any of you guys have a wrench that came from a 1957 model tractor or can you give me any information about the wrench.
i understand Ferguson had most of the nuts and bolts made in 11/16 and 1 1/16 to keep it simple.
Some I have seen had fuel level markings or plow depth marking, I do not know which, but I do not remember if my wrench had those.
Thanks,
Fred |

I'm not a 100% but i believe the " marks are for setting up the plow off set so one side is higher or lower. |

The marks were used for measureing gas in tank(gallons). The small end was for cultivator bolts and large end for bedder bolts.
Also I've seen it used as a hammer.LOL |

As John (UK) has mentioned several times the wrench was used for many things, wheel nuts, plows and measuring furrow depth and width and gas in the tank the marks equals gallons and many nuts and bolts on the tractors and implements. Yes Mickey a hammer also. LOL |

The correct wrench for you would have the markings MHF with the part # on the handle. There is one one flea bay priced way to high for me item # 290838844068 if you are interested |

Thanks for your replys,
I won the bid for a Ferguson wrench on ebay. Yes, I paid more than I should for it, but per the write up it is the correct wrench.
when i get the new to me wrench:
I will not carry it in the tractor fender tool box. In fact, I plan to take the power spread wheel tools out of the tractor tool box and place all of the Ferguson tools in a safe place in my garage. (so I can find them when needed).
my wife was doing the biding for me at the end, she hung with the big boys and got it. |
